Paige's Preschool Graduation

Paige graduated from preschool last night! They had a cute ceremony where they sang a bunch of songs and got diplomas and even got to wear caps and gowns. I've always thought that caps and gowns were a little silly to put on five year olds but how sweet is this:

My parents came!

During the ceremony:
Singing songs: Our family: (the next person to take a picture of me needs to remind me that turning sideways no longer makes me look skinnier!)
Granddaddy and Paige being silly!

Yeah for Paige! She's had fun in this preschool, mostly because she's so social and loves making friends. She told me the other day, "Mom, it's not really like school. We mostly just play and they do some letter sounds." (letter sounds is distainfully emphasized by Paige who's a good little reader and could talk to a brick wall for at least an hour!) I know she'll do great in kindergarten. She told me the other day, "I can totally handle full-day kindergarten, Mom, don't worry!" I'm not sweet little Paigie, I'm not!
Here she is, making her entrance:

Dance Recital

The girls had their dance recital last night! Since we moved here, they've been going to Miss Susie, who I took from growing up. She is so sweet and good with all the girls and it's so fun to take them to the little studio where I used to go every week!

Some of the spectators. :) My parents came, too, but I didn't get a picture of them. (They were reminded of one of the reasons they moved as we drove home in rush-hour traffic!) I'll upload the videos as soon as I can get James off of his computer, where the videos are stored :)

We are Growing!

We are excited that we will be having another little boy in September!

I went in for an ultrasound on Wednesday and he looks great! He's not shy at all, very active, and kept trying to kick the doctor!

Here I was at 14 weeks:
And here I was this morning--21 weeks:

Big Boy!

Michael has been using the potty for a few weeks now! He's doing great. He even told me at the playground by Paige's preschool on Friday, so we got to go in and try out their little potty, which he thought was pretty cool. Everyone said that boys are so much harder than girls, but I think he wants to be a big kid like his sisters and it's been really easy.

He's also my best (and worst!) kitchen helper these days. He loves being my assistant and pouring things into the mixer and stirring for me. He's not exactly precise, though, so a lot ends up on the counter. Here he is with the freshly-ground (by him!) wheat flour all over everything.

Another Tooth Out!

Last Sunday, Ashley lost her other front tooth! The tooth fairy didn't come Sunday night (we think due to a poorly placed tooth under the pillow...), but she came on Monday night! Ashley thinks it's fun to talk about how she lost her "toof" and it was pretty funny when we had corn-on-the-cob for dinner last night. She managed to eat it somehow. She's growing up!

Mother's Day 2010

Paige's class had a Mother's Day Social on Friday. It was fun to go and spend some time with just Paige! Both of the girls made Mother's Day presents at school and neither of them could wait until Sunday for me to open them--as soon as they got in the car after school on Friday, they had me open them :) Ashley made a cute vase with a sunflower seed planted in it and Paige made me a picture frame with her handprints on it. So sweet!

If anyone is wondering how my belly looks at 20 weeks while sitting in a preschool-sized chair, here it is!

Paige and her sweet teachers:

Getting ready to sing to us: I'm not sure if these videos will work or not, but they're supposed to be some of the songs the class sang.

I've already had a great Mother's Day!

Amusement Park!

We got season passes to the amusement park by our house this year. So far, we've been three times! Today was the most crowded it's been, so I guess we won't go on Saturdays any more!

Here are Paige and Michael playing in the kiddie area. Michael was kind of grumpy since he missed his nap and he fell down and scraped his knee pretty badly, and Paige was so sweet to let him choose all the rides to go on.

He LOVES bumper cars!
James, Paige, and Ashley on a ride:

Tired out at the end of the day!
Everybody (but me!) on the log flume:

Bug Field Trip

Paige's Preschool class to a field trip to a bug place. She was very brave!
Here she is looking at butterflies with one of her good friends.

She held the tarantula! Most of the boys in the class wouldn't touch it!
She was very attentive! Paige is definitely my little girly-girl, but she's also surprisingly fearless!
