Paige's Preschool Pictures

Paige got her preschool pictures today! Our scanner is still packed, so I tried to take a picture of a picture. Here's how they turned out:

The color really looks more like this:

Here was another they stuck in there.

Favorite Book Character

Today is "dress like your favorite book character day" at Ashley's school. She dressed up like Lanie, the new American Girl. She was convinced that she had to be very authentic--she couldn't be anyone with brown hair or red hair or short hair because then we would have to dye or cut her hair. It came down to Alice in Wonderland or Lanie and Alice dresses are pretty tough to come by, so she decided on Lanie.

Park Day!

The weather was so nice earlier in the week, so we took a picnic to the park and played and played!

Paige really wanted me to get a picture of her in mid-air--it only took 5 tries :)
Ashley did too.
All three kiddos on the 3 huge slides!

It wasn't actually cold enough for his winter hat, but he found it in his drawer and really, really wanted to wear it!
They loved this swing!

They tried it all together, but it was a little squished!

Happy Spring!

We had a backyard picnic this afternoon to celebrate the first day of spring! The girls haven't totally adjusted to the daylight savings switch, so they slept in until almost 9 this morning, got themsevles dressed, did each other's hair, and came down to let me know that it is officially spring. Once we got outside, Paige twirled around, breathed in deeply, and said, "It's a glorious day!' I said, "It is!" Paige said, "What does glorious mean?" After talking about it, we decided that it is, indeed, a glorious day!

Elizabeth!

My sister, Elizabeth, came for the weekend! We had a great time going bowling, making yummy treats, shopping, and going out to eat! It was really fun to see her and to not be 2,000 miles away! Hopefully, we'll be able to get together lots more!

Julie!

One of the best things about moving close to "home" is having the chance to meet up with old friends. Paige, Michael, and I got to have lunch with Julie last week! I wish she wasn't working full-time and going to school full-time so we could get together more often!

Mischievous Michael

How could I not love this little face looking up at me everyday??

Even if he is trying to spray me!
He loves getting his picture taken!
And doing "tickle fingers!"

Pretty Paigie

Paige had preschool class pictures last week. We practiced smiling for the camera and actually looking happy. Hopefully, her pictures will have a pretty smile like this one :)
