Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! The Easter bunny brought Mike a new tie to wear to church, and he thought it was great to have something new to drool/suck on. The girls wore their flower girl dresses, so I didn't make them pose for me again, but here's our cute little guy:

Yesterday, we couldn't get out the door in time for the community egg hunt, so we decided to go to the one at the botanical gardens. I thought it would be better anyways, since they boasted 7,000 eggs, including giant ones. Well, after paying to get in and extra for the kids to do the hunt, Ashley found 5 eggs and Paige got one--and I was trying to help Paige! The beautiful moment of the day came at the end of the hunt, when I said, "Ashley, you got five and
Paige only got one. Do you think you could give one of yours to her?" She looked in Paige's basket, then in hers, thought for a second, put two of hers into Paige's basket, and said, "there, now we both have three!" How sweet! Since we paid to get in anyways, we spent the day in the gardens and had a fun time. Poor little Michael's arms and head got burned. Now he doesn't look like a red-haired boy anymore--just a blondie with an actual red head :) (I bought sunscreen last night) Here are pics in the garden:

Petting Zoo Pictorial

We went to the petting zoo today--here's our day in pictures:

Please can I have just one baby goat?
Maybe if I carry it to the car, mom won't notice...

Check out this Easter basket! Maybe if I carry it like this to the car, mom won't notice, either...
I'll feed it and and walk it and love it a LOTI'd like one, too, please!
I don't want a bunny...I think I might be allergic!

There's something so cute about little piggies!

I love this picture of Paige! There was a fun playground there, too!

Check out the peacock--there were a bunch of them wandering around.

Dying Easter Eggs

We dyed eggs yesterday and the girls thought it was great. Michael sat on the table (don't yell at me--I know that's why the Bumbo was recalled...) and watched. The best part was eating the pretty eggs when we were done--the girls LOVE hard-boiled eggs!

Ashley's favorite colors--pink and hot pink!
Paige's polka-dot egg:
I don't think that one ever got dyed...
Here's how that one looked under the peel--I thought it looked to weird to eat, but the girls assured me that it was delicious!
Happy Easter! What traditions do you have for Easter morning??

Just in Case...

I took these pictures just in case Ashley and my friend Ann's little boy, Parks, decide to get married. If I could arrange the marriage, he's my choice. They play really well together and look pretty darn cute together, too!

They danced all night long!

Open House Pictures

We all had a fun time at Annie and Quinn's open house in Colorado. Here are the pictures:

The Wedding

Well, I heard it was lovely. That's right--I HEARD....I didn't actually get to go to the wedding because I was in a hospital in Denver with Michael, who got RSV at a very inopportune time. So we got here fine last Friday night (all three kiddos were great on the plane and during our 3 hour layover), then Saturday, we went to the baptism of my good friend Ann's little boy. Michael had been coughing a bit and it just kept getting worse, so James and I actually ducked out early to go to Urgent Care. The doctor there said it was just bronchitis and that he'd get better soon and to come back if he started to run a fever. Well, he never ran a fever but started wheezing Monday night and wasn't any better. I didn't want to take an 8 hour car trip with a sick baby, so I took him to a different Urgent Care center where they did chest x-rays and tested his oxygen levels and the doctor there diagnosed him with pneumonia (it turned out he was wrong--it was RSV) and since his oxygen levels were low (70s-80s), they called for an ambulance to transport him to the hospital, where we spent Tuesday-Saturday, pumping him full of oxygen, doing breathing treatments, and sucking all the yuckies out of his nose. James' parents and Jake and Charie (littlest bro and sis) were so great to take the girls over to the wedding and care for them while James stayed with Michael and me until he went out to join them Friday. (And thanks to Em and Heather and Lauren--I know you helped a ton, too!)
So Annie--I'm sorry I missed it! Maybe I can be there for the birth of your first child or something (not that I'm encouraging that anytime soon!) I heard you were beautiful and gracious and all sorts of wonderful things.
The good news for me is that they're having an open house here next Friday and (hopefully--if nothing else goes wrong!) I'll be able to make that! I guess the moral of this story is that when you have a big, important event to attend, it might be best to get to the destination first and plan other fun trips later!
Oh, and Michael's doing fine-he is a bit cranky due to lack of sleep and I'm sure a sore throat and chest, but other than that, he's on the mend. Poor little guy!
