We're Back!

Hooray! We're finally all settled in! We've had quite a busy month and a half since I last posted. We started May off with a really fun trip out to Colorado where we got to see Nana, Papa (James' parents), and Aunt Charie and all of our great neighborhood friends. Ashley was in heaven playing with her best friends Dorian and Gracie and she and Paige both got to have one-on-one sleepovers with Nana and Charie while we got everything ready for the big move. We ended up fitting everything we wanted into our apartment and it's kind of nice being able to have the girls playing in the kitchen, me doing laundry, and James working at his desk and all being in the same room. Another bonus is that I can vacuum the entire apartment and not have to change the plug.
Since we've been back , we've been invited to play at a couple different people's houses and are well on our way to making some new friends. We've been to the petting zoo and a park with some friends, too. The petting zoo was really fun--it was set in these tall pine trees, so it was really shady and they had a big rabbit pen that the girls could get in and play with the bunnies. Paige spent almost an hour making beds for the bunnies out of sticks and pine needles and then trying her best to convince them to sleep in them. Ashley loved sitting in there and petting all of them.
I went to a girl's night out barbeque tonight and James and the girls spent all night swimming (really--they were still in the pool at 8:45 when I got home and both crashed about 2 minutes after their heads touched their pillows), so we're all having a lot of fun.
Unfortunately, I found our camera stuck under a box and broken when we were moving in, so I haven't been able to take any pictures for the last little while, but I took it to Best Buy and they're currently fixing it. I'm hoping that we'll have it back for Ashley's birthday next week.
So that's our month and a half in review--we're doing really well and are looking forward to a fun summer!
